Bakery Gruber’s cosy café lies in the heart of Lienz and convinces with a lounge-ambience. Light soaked, bright colours and the smell of freshly ground coffee and baked goods. Diogenes – Furniture like good wine. Helmut Pramstaller shares his passion for barrels with the philosopher. Across Europe, the former world champion searches for old barrels and shapes them into individual, self-designed pieces of furniture. A certificate stating which wine the barrel originally stored, is included.

Discover a precious secret of the noble distillers. At the 400-year-old Kuenz farm, you will find excellent schnapps and liqueurs that can be tasted in a cosy atmosphere. In the farm shop there are selected specialities from local “Osttirol Natur”partner farms.

Pregler impresses with the diversity of its aromas. It is distilled exclusively in East Tyrol from local apples and pears. According to a 200-year-old tradition, we select the fruits of our orchards in order to extract the noblest aromas from them. In recent years, our “Number 1” has always been awarded as the best of its kind.

Everything began with cranberries, when in 1931 the brothers Unterweger founded their establishment. By now they craft jams, confitures, compote and syrups. Quality resources and a lot of nature form the foundation for the precious Tyrolian Früchteküche-products.

The sweet creations of the East Tyrolian jam manufactory “Unterweger Früchteküche” are being crafted in third generation. For more than 90 years they have been trusted partners of bakeries and housemakers.

Bruno, the innkeeper, welcomes you to the Alpe Stalle. At the Alpe Stalle you can enjoy Tyrolean delicacies such as Schlipfkrapfen, Tyrolean or Kasknödl, apple and curd strudel and much more. The rustic hut is open in summer and winter. In winter there is also a 2.5 km long illuminated family toboggan run.

The inn is a heavenly destination in summer and in winter. It is located at the sunny plateau 1.500 m above sea level in the national park. Specialities made from local products are offered and the sommelier Manuel helps with your wine selection. The south side of the house provides a gorgeous sun terrace with a children’s playground.

Bernd Troger has been producing mustard in Defereggental since 2010. He has received several awards for this – most recently in the summer of 2022 with the Great Taste Awards in London, one of the highest honours in the international food industry. There are now over 20 flavours, ranging from fruity-sweet to classic-rustic. Troger’s recipes are top secret. Mustard is a philosophy for Bernd Troger.

Lissi and Bernd’s “Gamsalm” is a beloved gathering place. Either on the sun deck or in their cosy interiors you’ll be served with quaint hospitality, hot food and specialities – such as “Buchteln” with vanilla sauce.

The good simple cooking kitchen has been tradition in the Adlerstüberl since 1742. It’s compulsory for farmers and traders from East Tyrolian valleys since then to stop for a goulash and beer in the Adlerstüberl. Mainly traditional Tyrolian cuisine is served in cosy parlours. During summer also in the beer garden in the pedestrian area.

Helene Moser’s Café „’s Eck“ is part of the traditional historic town hotel. A cosy beer bistro on the ground floor, a sunny terrace café in the historic city and a chic porch café on the first floor with the best view on the main square.
